1. Remove the boot liner, there are 9 push clips 2 x T25 Torx screws in the handle and 5 push in plastic clips. 2. Disconnect the power supply to the spoiler motor, then using a 4mm Allan Key, manually deploy the spoiler. 3. Remove the motor cover plate, 4 x T30 Torx screw (plastic). 4. Remove the 3 x 8mm nuts holding the motor in place and remove the motor. 5. Prise the 2 x cable clips and cable out and undo the 2 x T20 screws holding motor mounting plate. 6. Remove the spoiler cover, this held in place with 4 x T20 Torx screws. 7. Remove the 2 x T20 screws in the drains and gently move them out of the way. I decided to run a piece if wire through these at the same time to make sure they were clear. 8. Next job is to release the cable stops, these are 3 x T20 Torx screws at each side of the carriage. 9. Remove the 12 x 10mm nuts holding the spoiler carriage in place. 10. Finally, remove the plastic clips holding the spoiler carriage and remove it. Refitting is just as simple as reversing the process. From start to finish it takes a couple of hours. and this is what I have used. |
