Towbar for 3.0HDi

 My newly acquired C6 3.0HDi had a towbar fitted by the previous owner and c6dave asked about it, so here are the details from the paperwork I have.

It's a Citroen genuine item, part numbers are on Citroen Service. Part numbers and current UK prices at the time of posting.

Towbar is part no. 9427.CP. UK price inc VAT is £400.00 (with demountable hook)

Wiring kit is part no. 9428.E7, UK price is £215.00 inc VAT

The instruction book shows the towbar to be a Bosal unit, I'm not sure if this is specific to the 3.0HDi or is the same as other models.

A Citroen dealer may give a discount on the parts prices if you ask nicely.

 Update on this at 30th Oct 2016.

The towbar part numbers are the same for all versions of C6.

Prices have been reduced by Citroen.

9427CP is now £295 including VAT
9428E7 is now £146 including VAT

Official fitting time is 5 hours. The whole bumper has to be removed to fit the bar, along with all the boot lining to fit the wiring.
