I don't think it's possible to for the driver to do this but I know it can be done by the dealer on the Lexia. When I took delivery of my C6 the running lights were not on and the option to turn them on was not even on the computer. I asked the dealer to activate the DRL's, which they did but now the side lights light up as well whenever the engine is running. I intend to ask them to correct this to DRL's only the next time the car is there. |

olep wrote ... Do you know if one can instruct the computer(s) to turn the back lights on when the daylight running lamps are on ? It is compulsory in Norway to have your backlights lit in the daytime, probably until the new EU Directive reg. daylight running lights is included in norwegian regulations (in 2012?). There is a list of functions here: - Click Here - It may or may not be complete but gives a guide |

I went to the Dealer (Broach Hill, Driffield) on Saturday to get my first fault looked at - 'Parking Assistance Faulty' .They diagnosed a faulty front sensor which they've ordered to be fitted later this week. I suspect it may have been damaged by a flying stone as there's a 'nick' that can be felt on the surface. While I was there I asked them to change the daytime running lights from being on with the parking lights to DRL's only, which they did. Also they are investigating the possibility of updating the RT5 to enable Bluetooth Audio Streaming. I'll keep you informed about this. |

As I posted on another thread, HP24 bulbs can be removed from said holder, will reveal two long prongs and two holes on the holder. A modified led 501 or even g4 will insert in its place!

Well I had to change the offside, lower lamp unit today, as it was half full of water. Basically when I had it apart originally, it looks like I broke one of the clips on the bulb unit (shown in the original post) so it wasn't seating tight against the gasket, allowing water in. It has affected the reflection coating so had to change the whole unit, not just the bulb holder So if you do intend taking one apart, be careful......... |

Old thread, but I´ll try to wake it up again... I bought these: - Click Here - and followed the excelllent guide issued by C6Dave in the beginning of this thread. The lamps fits almost perfect, you have to cut/adjust two small tabs at the lamp, but it is very easy. I have no picture of it, but it is easy to understand when you have the unit in your hand. A hint: Before you reassemble, check that the lamp works, as a LED lamp has to be connected with the right polarity. If it dont work, just turn it 180 degrees. |

I also have the problem with waking up the daylight running lamps, INCLUDING back lights. My garage used the Lexia and managed to get them into the main menu in the car, but probably chose the wrong option of 2. Daylight running lamps is now OK when main light are not on, but the right option will also wake up rear lamps together with daylight rrunning lights (according to Norwegian regulations).

If you have a chance, could you post some pictures of them on the car? I'm fed up of people thinking I've got my fogs on. |

People who think they are fog lights need to get their brains engaged......... Anyway my bulbs arrived today from the good old US of A and I wish I hadn't bothered now as I had to pay £3.19 Vat and an £8.00 post office handling charge, grr....... I'm not going to even think about fitting them given is 1c outside and trying to snow. When I get around to it I'll take a picture or 2 |
