Premier, Have you still got the set for the rear of the C6 and are they for sale? I would be interested in buying them.

Hey guys,

Indeed they look great, but...

You know why I don't actually like them?!? When backing up to a kerb you always risk hitting them, and because they're bolted onto the rear bumper, if you do hit them, you also risk breaking a few clips that hold your bumper in position...

I actually had that happen to a friend who owns a C4 with similarly designed rear mudflaps, and this is why I never set mine up on the C4 and never ordered them for the C6...

Just sayin'

Other than that, they look very nice and I'm sure anyone riding behind you on a rainy day, really appreciates not being constantly splattered

But, again, for me, living in a big city with lots of awkward parking spaces and oftenly needing to park by backing up to a kerb, I find them impractical

Cheers,
Sammy

I have front and rears... the front "wedges" stop some mud-splatter up the side of the car on country roads, as well as tar spots etc.. so I like them, but the rears can be a pain - especially as smihialex says with curbs when parking...

Don't you find that the rear parking sensors warn of the kerbs proximity? I've not hit a kerb with mine in the 9 months since I've had the car - primarily because I'm paranoid about parking it with its nose or tail sitting above the kerb when I park and ON the kerb when I get back to it!

Well, 1st, I always raise the car to mid or high when parking up to a kerb, depending on said kerb's height. In doing so, the car keeps its height constant while parked (no lowering and then getting back up when unlocking), so you don't risk leaving parts of your front bumper on the pavement.

The problem however is that sometimes, some parking spaces are designed so that if your car is longer (and we all know that ours is), you have to back up to the kerb in such a fashion that the back of the car goes over the kerb. And because our car has a fastback profile (shallow rear), you sometimes have to back up until the rear wheels touch the kerb.

And that is a scenario where the parking sensors are completely irrelevant, and the mud-flaps would prove to be severely annoying

Regards,
Sam
