Hello All

My previously reliable 57 plate 2.7 with 60k mileage is now really struggling to start first thing in the morning.

Literally taking 30 seconds of key turning and accelerator pumping before it finally bursts into life..

Any ideas or similar experiences?

Appreciated

Cheers

Mike

Accelerator pumping?

It should start after a couple of turns of the engine.

It needs checking for possible fuel starvation (draining the line back to the tank) Glow plugs not functioning etc.

You could try turning the key to the 'on' position, waiting a few seconds for the glow plugs to do their job, then turning the key all the way to engage the starter motor. The dashboard does have a glow plug light, a curly orange symbol.

It's a bit chillier in the mornings now.

Could be a million and one thing's, first thing I'd do is check all the fuses are sitting right, I uswed to get something similar on a old ford, then I think it would be time for a Lexia session.
