Good news Ron and you won't regret it! Time-wise not too much goes on on the Friday, mainly just the Fish & Chip Van coming around and the usual socialising in the evening. The 'van comes round at around 7:00pm BTW. We're not leaving until probably 5:00pm as that's when I get home on Friday so we're there for around 6:45ish in our convoy depending on rush hour traffic...

People turn up at different times so up to you - I'd be there for around 5:00pm'ish if I was you?

Will bear the security in mind! Although the people are normally OK...

Evening folks, got another update for the Rally for you.

Traditionally we hold a Raffle on the Sunday to end the weekend, and as well as all of the "usual" raffle prizes we've got some special ones this year. Many many thanks must go to James Walshe of Kerrang Radio and Q Radio for the following donations to the raffle, which we thank him very much.

First is up for grabs is a pair of tickets to go to see Nickelback at the 02 in London in October! As well as this, up for grabs are various CDs from a wide range of artists and hopefully something for every age group and taste, and a bundle of Bauer Media magazines.

So dig deep for some raffle tickets on the day - it'll be worth it!

Once again, many thanks to James of Kerrang Radio and Q Radio.

...could we have a rough indication of numbers (to help planning again!) of people wishing to have the Breakfasts? Quite a few have already said yes for the Evening Meal which is great, thanks.

No problems if you don't know yet, just to give us a rough indication of numbers... PM or a post below is fine - whichever...

Just in case anybody can't find the menu, here it is:

Cooked Buffet Breakfasts are available on Saturday and Sunday Mornings (from 8am to 10am) at the Shoulder of Mutton Pub next to the Rally Site (£4 per head).

The Fish and Chip Van will be coming around on Friday Evening as is the usual...

For Saturday Evening we have organised a meal to be held at the Shoulder of Mutton Pub. A menu was drawn up with the Pub that features a wide choice so (hopefully!) everyone will be catered for. The menu is below, and a vegetarian option will of course be available. Menu subject to change.

Starters - Smoked Salmon, Paté Dish, Tomato and Basil Salad.

Mains - Beef Bourguignon, Coq au Vin, Old Smokey Burger (Pub Special).

Desert - Tart ou Citroën, Chocolate Fudge Cake, Profiteroles.

The cost for the meal is £15 per head and will be at 7:30pm on Saturday Evening.

Refreshments on the Saturday and Sunday Afternoons will be available in the kitchen that include Filled Rolls, Tea, Coffee and Soft Drinks.

That's no problem Ron as there's always plenty of room for camping - camping is around the perimeter of the field so if a swift getaway is needed, it'll be fine...

I'll be at the CX XM Xantia rally, in my Xantia Activa V6. Sorry to disappoint, no C6 this time.
Many of you have seen it before and it looks like all the other C6s................

Ron, I'll take you for a spin in the Activa, I'd be amazed if you didn't return with a big grin on your face
